Gosh! I had an ancient Narco, which was quite noisy - and I broke a knob from it with my knee, while trying to get under the panel area, to do some work on my heat duct - replaced the now-necro-Narco with a slide in ktm Mx-11; it cost me 475! You guys play in a larger pond than I, I guess!

It is advertised as experimental because it is
not TSO'd. An Ercoupe flown VFR. doesn't
require a TSO'd com (ref Ed Burkhead's Ercoupe
info if needed). Wasn't an issue.

Bruce thank you very much for your prompt reply. Did you have any trouble getting an avionics shop to install the Garmin since it is advertised for experimental aircraft?

My old ValCom 760 died and my intercom wasn't
far behind. Was going to replace the 760 with their
2000 model when Garmin came out with their GTR 200
which included a built-in intercom. Perfect solution.
Paid a little extra for the prewired option at Aircraft Spruce.
Greatly simplified installation and works well.

My wife and I have an older Val com radio in our Coupe, and we are thinking about replacing it. We would like to know what are your recommendations for a good replacement.

Thanks--George
