My Bro is down in Fla waiting for a roof to be installed, but when he gets back to Ohio, he has a right tank I believe. Let me know if interested and I can keep you posted.

Matt, do you use paint remover to clean the surf around the rivet first?

I looked at the tanks for my Alon and they are welded at the seams with rivets for the baffles, Since there is no access to get inside to buck the rivets, you can try a trick we use on the piper fuel tanks for a seeping rivet. clean the area with MEK, Methel Ethel Keytone, mix PRC fuel tank sealant and put a dab, big enough to cover the rivet and onto the skin around it. The next part is up to how you want to do it, get some tubing or pipe large enough to totally cover the PRC, attach the tubing to a air hose and place a end of the tubing over the PRC and use compressed air to force the PRC into the voids under pressure, you can do it several times if you wish. Clean the excess PRC, let it cure and perform a leak check.

I know someone’s doing, just can’t remember who. Proseal is another option that does work well.

I remember that Safe Skies Aviation in Middletown, Ohio, was rebuilding fuel tanks (only the riveted ones). Two of our best resources were both club members who, sadly, passed on. Maybe someone else can help with another idea.
