Those are jigging holes, when the part is made, a bolt passes thru the hole and holds the metal to the die or form.

If you haven’t seen my other posts, I am bringing “Erkel” back to life after a 10 year nap outside under a tree…

Gene helped me move it and remove the wings. I got a horoscope and started looking around for corrosion. On both the right and left side what I think is the center spar has two drill holes that have no apparent purpose. They are empty. One does not look good, but it may just be muck. I still need to try and clean up before looking for corrosion.

see the attached pictures. Two are the front side and backside of inside the left wing walkway, and the other are the right.  

Can anyone tell me what these are?
