Alpha now has the STC for installing an O200 in any Ercoupe - C, D, CD, E, G. It’s not cheap, but provides a way to put a readily available engine in an Ercoupe. As for the C85 crankshaft upgrade, any engine shop can do it. It’s not cheap either. When I bought a new O200 crank in 2006 it was $2000. Now they’re $6000.

Larrys comment was correct in 2019 - I spoke with Alpha (Don McDonald) while he was waiting on FAA - I provided him with a copy of my field approval for a 415C that is in the 415D configuration and ACO approved it to stay as a 415C at light sport weight.. Believe Alpha has the STC now and advertises as such

It’s not just the crank. It’s also push rods and pistons.

Makes a fantastic engine. I have one.
