I do not have that small hole in my nose bowl, not a Cabin Fresh Air knob.

The shroud around the left stack provides cabin heat. The shroud around the muffler provides carb heat. Carb heat inlet from the baffling is near the back so it is already warmed going over the cylinders.

Some people disconnect the cabin heat scat and leave it open, but I think that would reduce cooling air through the cooling fins. Better to block it off, IMHO.

Ok
Ours does not have another flapper and control for cabin air
Would it be ok to just connect the cabin heat tube to the cold air intake?
If I did that would it be ok for the heat shroud around the muffler to be open? ie no tube hooked to it?

It’s just for cabin air. Mine has a separate valve and control knob for the vent.

Oh good!
So could I hook the cabin heat scat tube to that port in summer to get the cabin cooler?
The hole isn’t for oil cooling or anything correct? Just for cabin cooling
