Of course you know the situation a lot better than I do, but I encourage everyone to take a long cross country trip to visit many new places! The most fun I've had in my Ercoupe is landing at a new airport and visiting with new people and seeing new landscapes from above. One of the most fun trips I ever had was flying to Las Cruces in 2018. Also, my son and I took a several day trip through Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and more. These are the trips you will not forget. I've made hundreds of short flights and Idon't remember any of them. I DO remember those few long trips where everything was new! Don't let the distances scare you. It's just a bunch of short flight strung together!

I'll be at OSH, but don't think I'm quite ready for that flight from VA to the fly in in my Ercoupe. My current plan is to fly in commercially.

I'm in the same boat - definitely want to make it to both events but I can't take all the time away from work to go start-to-finish.

I'm coming from Maryland so it's at least a full day flying each way but may end up being two if I get tired. So my plan is to leave on the 16th to attend the last 2-3 days at Wassau, and then stick around Airventure for the Wednesday night airshow and head home on Thursday.

My Ercoupe upgrades should be done (full new panel++) and ready for the convention and Oshkosh.  Don't think I can make the full almost 2 weeks -I'd be interested to hear what people are doing... was thinking of flying into the convention on Wednesday, joining the conga line to Oshkosh Saturday, then departing Oshkosh the following Wednesday or Thursday.  With a travel day to/from my home base in Red Wing MN (KRGK) it would put the trip around 9 days.

Interested to hear what others are planning on

I am interested, Chuck. My wife and I will be flying out of Bremerton KPWT and will be following I-90. I do have to zig zag around Montana to visit friends and family, but I would love to coordinate and join up for the second half, MT to WI.
