My Alon had a plastic witch had a 90*bend on the sides and flat to screw to the frames. the side turn-up were1/4 'high. And the sheet was thin. It worked really well. Three screws in the frame pulled up the mid so one did not lose much head room. If you have a plastic shop near take l&w you want, see what they can do for you. don't forget the turn-up need to be notch for the frames on the ends.

MIne has what appears to be a painted panel in the center. Works well to keep the sun off when it's overhead.

I am looking for ideas for an overhead sunshield for an Alon. The factory offered a plastic sunshield. If anyone knows of one for sale let me know. In the meantime I am open for your thoughts and suggestions.
