Larry,

I have the same engine & propeller combination. Can you tell me the RPM (and if available the MP) for your 110 mph cruise setting?

I have never been able to dig up any charts specific to the STC'd engine, so the best I've got to go by are the original C-85 power curves.

I don’t know the numbers for a C90 but for a C85 48 is a climb prop, 50 standard and 52 cruise. I know that an inch of pitch can make a huge difference! I’ve got a 71-49 on my C85 w/O200 crank and I climb great and cruise at 110.

My Alon has a McCauley 7148 prop on a c90. It flies well, but I have to pull throttle back about 1/2 way to prevent over speeding the engine. I’m thinking about repitching the prop but am not sure what an appropriate value (50”? 52”) would be. It climbs well now, but doesn’t go much faster than 105-108 in cruise at max rpm (2375).

I’d love to get the wisdom of the group about this.
