Vernon Gregory @ skyport suggested may have bent the engine mount

Aren't the mounts on an Alon different than the 415CDE?

I recently had my exhaust nearly fall off.  After I had it welded up and I could not align the exhaust flanges flush with the exhaust port.  The exhaust pipe hitting the fuselage wouldn’t let the two surfaces meet.

My welder suggested I look real hard at the engine mount and the motor mount.  Sure enough the lower motor mounts weren’t as symmetrical as the upper ones, and there was a small gap that I could stuff part of a zip-tie in a little way.

Now it looks like I will be replacing all 4 motor mounts very soon.   Any advice by anyone here who has been down this rabbit hole?
