Let me add one more piece of information. I have access to a large sheet metal shop that can build practical anything. My hope was to find a technical drawing of the split elevator so we could modify my elevator.

I’m pretty sure you need to find a split elevator from a G model to put on. I don’t of anyone making one.

Hello everyone,I am new to the group so I will apologize in advance if this topic has been covered. I did do a search on forum site but came up empty handed.I recently acquired a 1947 Ercoupe 415-D project (sn 3979) with a 85hp engine installed. This will be a full restoration and I am creating a list of STC and other modifications I plan to do on the aircraft.One of these mods will be the installation of a Split Elevator. My question is can my current elevator be cut and modified to a split elevator? Does any one have the drawings or other approved data for the split elevator?Thank you for your help,
