I decided to leave it as is on the carb with the not-so-safe 'safety' brackets to avoid any hassles, or more precisely wallet draining, with approvals.

The SA3-00 would mount to the carb where the SA3-00-B for the Alon mounts to the firewall you can see two holes on the top for mounting bolts with spacers are needed. Alon had a SB to mount it low on the fire wall. My A2 had a drain valve with a rubber hose to check for water in the bowl extended thru the bottom cowl so it was easy to check.

Has anyone installed a Steve's gascolator on their Ercoupe? If so, where did you mount it?
Steve's Aricraft lists the 'Univair' Ercoupe in its AML list* for model SA3-00, so the 'paper-work' people should be happy, for the most part. My only question is if it should be installed on the carb with the brackets and if this is even possible with this style gascolator? Or does it need to be installed on the firewall?
