Thank you for the clarification. You have what in the United States is a certified aircraft. Most of the participants here are playing by the rules here in the United States. I was reading your modifications thinking that you were treating your aircraft like it was an experimental and heading into territory that wasn’t acceptable to the FAA.
I am an A&P and own an Aircoupe and a RV7. I want to welcome you to the site, but please remain aware that here those same modifications here would require either getting the aircraft shifted to the experimental category or getting an A&P with inspection Authorization to complete a 337 AND get field approval signed off by the local FSDO. (Which they are not likely to do).
When you post here, it would be helpful if you had a disclaimer that you have a Canadian aircraft ind in a maintenance category similar to Amateur Built and these same modifications in the US would require either an STC or a 337.

Did you do a 337/field approval on this or Is there an STC for this?

I should have added this to my last post, I also modified the gear legs to accept Murphy 600X6 wheels and brakes, I pushed out the old axles and bolted the new stub axles directly on to the swinging arm, the wheels are sold machined units
