I'm also interested in doing this. From what I've heard, you just rivet the new skin on top of the existing one. The new skin seems to be supplied with a hole for the nose fuel cap.
I'm guessing that it's just a case of drilling out a bunch of rivets, then match-drilling the new skin before re-riveting.
Very interested to hear from people who have don this before!

I'm going to take advantage of Ercoupe informational note 1 to upgrade to a d model and 1400lbs. now that mosaic allows increased weight. Everything seems pretty straight forward except how to attach the stainless steel sheet above the fuel tank. Anybody have the installation instructions for this part?
Also I finally got an answer from an inspector about the last sentence in the informational note "inspected by the faa", he said they don't do that anymore and leave it to IA's which is good.
