What a crock! I guess patrons will soon be signing waivers when they enter the restaurant...

Did anyone see where Lamberts is being sued for someone getting hit in the eye by a thrower roll? The claims in the case are amazingly outrageous:
Troy Tucker said she was hit by a roll during a visit in September of 2014. She is suing the chain, which sports the slogan "Home of Throwed Rolls," claiming she "sustained a lacerated cornea with a vitreous detachment and all head, neck, eyes and vision were severely damaged."
According to the suit, Lambert's management should have known the dangers of lobbing rolls at patrons, with Tucker's attorney's calling the practice a "defective condition" of the restaurant.
Maybe it's just me, but a place advertising itself as the home of the thrower roll is likely to, well, throw rolls.....

The original owner of Lambert's (who has passed on) was a pilot and they are continuing his special treatment of pilots. Lambert's is the "Home of the Throwed Rolls" - they actually throw their giant, delicious rolls across the room to you! If you miss, no big deal, they'll try again. Then they come by with sorghum for your roll. Lots of homestyle food, a piano player on busy days. It is not unusual to see a line of 100-200 people outside the restaurant waiting to get in. When you approach Sikeston, they may ask if you're going to Lambert's - just tell them yes and they will call for the van. If they don't, just call Lambert's when you land and they'll be there in a few minutes. Now for the good part - there may be 200 folks sitting on the porch waiting to get in, but you will be taken in the exit and given the next available table! The last time I went we sat by the window and the same poor people were waiting outside when we finished that were there when we sat down....KSIK is the airport.
