Randy, if you can't find the article on the EOC site, you might try this website - ercoupe.info. It has a wealth of information regarding your Ercoupe. On the left side under Ercoupe Repair, scroll down to the Windows folder. Click and scroll down to windows. There you'll find some information on the felts you were asking about. Hope this may help out.

Where are the articles on various maintenance issues?  For example there was a great article on replacing the window felt; one on servicing the MLG; etc.  I can't seem to locate them on the EOC site anymore.
