I forgot to mention, that Alpha Aviation relay is, in my opinion, mandatory if you are moving the master switch to the panel. I don’t think you want several feet of always hot, unprotected, heavy gauge wire running from the battery to your master switch!

There is no such STC. I believe an A&P can do that with a log entry, or at most a 337. You are confusing this with the Alpha Aviation master relay STC which puts a relay on the main buss at the battery and the master then only grounds the relay, energizing the main buss. That way the master switch does not carry the full electrical load and there is no unprotected wire from the battery to the switch. There was a long, detailed article on this within the last two or three years of the Capers.

Somewhere I saw an STC and kit for moving the master switch from the baggage compartment to the dash. I've looked and looked and can't find it any longer. Anyone know who has it?
