The bigger more accessible space is nice. But I'm curious, how much weight can you put at the back of the larger space before the CG gets out of limits (assuming maximum aft loading per fuel/ pilots/ etc.)?

Many of you already have this, but I just finished installing the 9 cubic foot baggage compartment and I'm really happy with the improvement! Special thanks to Vernon for digging up all the parts and paperwork - all I had to do was cut new floorboards for it.
I feel better having some solid wood between my baggage and the control mast. The idea of the canvas bag failing and dropping everything in the middle of the control rods and cables always gave me the frights.
