Hot air rises, can't go wrong as I see it. Oh yeah, does that price include postage to South Africa?
Watch out cutting the carpet so that it doesn't run on you.

I have had some trouble getting warm air into my cabin on cold days. The warm air flapper opens below the floor, and I have a nice AirTex carpet over that, so a lot of the warm air never makes it into the cockpit.
I'm currently working on a vent to put into the floor in front of each sitting position to allow the warm air to come through. It's a vent that snaps into a 3½" hole in the floor plywood. It has a grate and is made of PETG plastic that won't warp with heat. All it takes is using a 3.5" hole saw to put the holes in the floor boards, then cut the same size hole out of the carpet.
I'm in the middle of making a set to put into my airplane. I will report on the effectiveness when I take it to Memphis Friday for lunch at Gus's Chicken.
My questions are - any thoughts on whether it will work?
Is anyone interested in buying some for $20 a pair? If they were for sale at Sporty's they'd be $200 EACH!!!
Am I wasting my time?
Thanks for your input.
