Honing it has nothing to do with the STC. You should hone the inside of the cylinder when replacing the “O” ring. This does not involve the STC

Have you honed the MLG cylinder and changed the cup (Dot 5 fluid) or o-ring (5606 fluid) whichever seal you have.

I did that this morning. I had that oleo moving smoothly and freely, but after a flight, it was stuck high again.

Google  ercoupe.info  it has detailed instructions on how to service landing gear.

MLG oil was created by Scott Thiel
I have a MLG strut that’s getting stuck high.  How do you check and add the oil.
