I made the decision to abandon AEROSHELL 3 years ago. 6 qts for $87 , ridiculus, Moved to Phillips 66. get 12 quarts for $87. Use AVIATIONOILCOM, free shipping. I buy TEMPEST oil filters 6 at a time, cheaper and don’t have to sweat supply chain nonsense.
As for oil burn, a new IO-540 burns about a quart every 6-8 hours

Hey, Larry; Same decision for me: I'm 83 and thinking of hanging it up. Tough decision for all of us eventually. Although I have very few hours in my Ercoupe (N94865) am still enjoying it. I have over 1800 hours in the V-tail Bonanza having owed six of them. I happened to have exercised my ERcoupe yesterday ( October 10) for a short 30 minute flight, same day you took a long x-country. Comparing the data readout from Flightaware I the graph data for take first five minutes or so. Very similar climb/airspeeds. I have a high time C85 (2300 SMOH; 1300 SBOH) engine that burns a lot more oil than yours: about a quart every 3 hours or so. I was alone yesterday full fuel and probably 100 lbs under GW. Just felt like sharing this with you. BTW. I agree with others on what you could get for N99340 when you decide to sell. Regards John Farrell

Just find pilots who need to build time and keep flying right seat with them.

I’m surprised at the values. Since it’s high time I thought it would be worth much less. I would not hesitate to fly it anywhere. Just three weeks ago I flew it to Williamsburg, Virginia, and back without a hiccup, 1500nm. Used 1.5 quarts of oil in nearly 17 flight hours (actual flying hours as logged by my GPS, does not include taxi time).
This airplane has been a big part of my life for 20 years. I’m not sure how I’ll handle seeing it fly off with someone else in my seat. It is making it very difficult to make a decision.

having sold 2 415's ,the last one a year ago I would value yours at $33,000
The high time is a minus but the 0-200 a plus. The high time would be more of a problem to a buyer who thinks about re-sale value when he tries to market it.
Knowing the tender loving care U gave it should be marketed positively.
