How much does your ERCOUPE WEIGH?

Well, haven't picked up my coupe yet, but friend and A&P did weigh it with new battery and engine oil, no fuel and they came up with 936#. Seems kind of chunky to me for a plain jane 1946 415c. Guess it is up to me to shed the extra weight. Just keep thinking, every 6lbs is another gallon of gas. They are doing the gross weight increase STC this week. Still LSA. Come on FAA, pass the MOSAIC thing next year and get that LSA weight up to 3300 lbs. One can hope

993 on my 415G, but that was before I removed some dead electronics and very detailed cleaning of the inside of the fuselage.

7500C Forney F1 is 971#'s.

Mine weighs 848.

My 415C with the 75 hp engine is a very basic VFR with fabric wings and canvas baggage compartment. It was weighed at the Iowa Ercoupe Convention last year and came in at 902 lbs empty. Someone had repainted the wings long ago by adding paint. I suspect the extra paint is a 20 lb weight penalty but I have no intention of recovering the wings to save the weight.

so far none under 900 lbs. I guess that Wikipedia figure of a 750 lb Ercoupe is a real unicorn, An 850 pounder would be too much to hope for Keep'em coming.
