You will need a mechanic to make a logbook entry for the removal of the pedals, so get them involved early. See Service Memo 59.

Hi. I have a 415C but it has a set of rudder pedals in it. I never knew that a "C" had rudder pedals from the factory. I'm thinking they were added sometime later and would like to get rid of them (weight, originality, etc). I'm not a mechanic, so I don't want to just start ripping things apart. Any suggestions?
