Sounds like exactly the type of thing within a DAR's authority, but I'm staying Light Sport legal. If this works out I'd love to hear about your experience because once MOSAIC comes into effect I may be interested in upgrading gross weight.

Has anyone converted their 415c 1260lb max to the 1400lb max using the information letter 1? It seems pretty straight forward except the faa inspection part. In 46 that probably wasn't a problem, but now I would think it's a no go. Would that function be delegated to a DAR? If that's the case, that probably wouldn't be too bad. Anyone with first hand experience would be helpful.
