I have an Alon. When I bleed from the bottom it’ll overflow from the master. To me this blockage indicates a problem with the master.

If you wanted to try bleeding this like you would a car, just to prove it wasn’t the master. You'd need someone in the cockpit pumping the brake, another on the caliper letting the fluid out.

You might even need a third person to keep the reservoir topped up because it’s so small.

I ended up replacing the brake pads and the O-rings in both calipers. When that didn’t fix it I replaced all the O-rings inside the master

I've been using the "after market" bleed screw on the bottom of the caliper. I've got straight fluid with no bubbles on both sides. I'm thinking the original bleed screw is at the top of the piston, so maybe that area of the caliper is filled with entrapped air. When I bleed back from the caliper bleed screw, it dosent overflow the resevoir, it just builds up pressure. After I remove the oil can pump that I use to pump up, the fluid squirms out about the same amount I pumped in. This is very agitating, most other systems bleed from the caliper to the master cylinder to the resevoir, this one dosent seem to do that. The previous owner installed the alpha matco master cylinder, so I don't know if that has some weird check valve.

Do your due diligence and disassemble your brakes and inspect your brake pads.

I had a problem and ended up re-doing the whole system. New pads and o-rings in the calipers. Then I ended up rebuilding the master.

Vernon Gregory @ Skyport was a tremendous resource.

When you ‘bleed the brakes’. A squirt type oil can filled with 5606 and a 12 inch piece of aquarium tubing is the ticket. Crack the bleeder at the caliper and pump it up from the bottom.

Well, it went from bad to worse, now I have a soft pedal and having trouble bleeding the brakes. I've looked at some of the others solutions and I'll try them tomorrow

Before I start looking for a problem I figured I'd get with the brain trust. My left brake is grabbing very well and my right is not. Upon heavy braking and during run up it pulls very hard to the left. My initial thought is an air bubble in the right system, but if anyone has experienced this same problem maybe it can save me some time. Mine is serial 805 so it should have the earlier brake system but I have not verified this as of this time. Any thoughts are appreciated.
