Understood,
This definitely will get me 5" to 6" more leg room for now and I won't have to loosen the laces on the seat back. (Not recommend 'cuz it shifts W&B.) Heck I may even be able to fit my tail dragger instructor in it now, he's 6' 3" can't close the canopy because of his head sticking out.
I am presuming sometime back when mammals first ran away from the dinosaurs and people were bopping to Buddy Holly my Ercoupe got the Cleveland wheel and brake conversion kit and this is how they rigged it. I know I can get the parts from Univair, Vern or Aircraft Spruce so this has been deferred til next Annual along with the wood prop and lithium battery.

That really is interesting! The hand brake has somewhat familiar pulley setup, but the master cylinder and parking brake are completely different. I see why you were interested in moving the toe board forward... you don't have much behind there!
In my brake pedal setup, the parking brake is dead simple - no valve or plumbing... just a cable that keeps the brake pedal pressed for you.

Hey Brooks,
Apologies for the delay. On firewall you can see the brake cylinder in the upper left corner. Brake lever is on left side of it pointing up and you can see the cable to the panel with the pulley. Smaller shinier object to the right (next to the column) is the parking brake control.

Interesting! When you eventually get around to having the whole thing opened up, is love to see a photo.

Found out yesterday the brake master cylinder is up above the feet on the firewall and is not the one in the parts manual. So this means I'll have to keep the hand brake on the panel and wait and order the brake pedal cylinder.
Cheers!
