read up on what type of charger to use, if you use the wrong type, you can toast the battery

Aircraft batteries are often damaged by a complete discharge. Check it closely after you charge it. I had to replace mine after a ground check of the radio and not turning off the master.

Just charge it like any battery.
Suggestion for the future: always leave your beacon switch ON. That way, if you leave your master on you should see the beacon flashing and can turn the master off. I always leave my beacon and nav light switches on.
