There is a float on the fuel gauge. It is flopping. When you look at the fuel gauge on your empty tank it should read E. Pick it up and you turn the tank over, the float flops to the top of the tank and it should now read F.
The fuel outlet is on the bottom of the tank, where you sump.

I solved the problem with the domed sight gauge, and like everything else on this "Coupe it cost more than I wanted to pay. Oh well. Now, a question. Does the left main (wing) tank, the one with the dome gauge, have a flop tube to pickup fuel! If I pick up the tank and flip it over there is a loud clunk. Reversed the noise is just as loud. In my r/c model days we referred to that as a flop tube. Any body have any experience along those lines??
