Vernon at sky-port sells the new ones that are the correct thickness. 803-360-2061. Got mine last Sept, you will want Vernon’s number for parts.

In my former Ercoupe 415C I used a small amount of silicon in the welt and exercised it a few times. Great.

Bob, people have a tendency to install the welts reversed. This can prevent them from sliding well.
Don’t ask how I know this.
