Hi, Larry -
I haven't gotten that kind of email, but on my last renewal with Starr Insurance (Feb of this year) my cost went from $735 to $1168. I am 77, got my certificate in 2018, and have over 300 hours, over 250 in my Forney.

If you are 70 years or older many insurance companies are looking to significantly increase their premiums. I turn 80 in October. My insurance is due in August on my Ercoupe. Looking for a bump!
I have inquired about insurance for a Bonanza I was looking at recently. Only one company, Avemco, would insure me, before I turn 80! And I have about 1500 hours in Bonanzas. Commercial, Instrument rated, MEL, SEL, CFI. Total time over 2,000 hours.
FAA in bed with insurance companies to get rid of us old pilots!

no weird letters but my current insurer did tell me my rate was going up slightly but I will be changing insurers in 3 weeks, AOPA partner ASSURED PARTNERS will be saving me about $247 dollars or 27%.

I just received an email from Global Aerospace basically warning me that my insurance is going up at my next renewal. It must be a big increase, what with a big warning so far in advance - my policy doesn’t expire until September 15!
Cant wait to see that in three months! Anyone else get this odd email?
