The last time I flew was July 3, 2021. I put N99340 in the hangar as usual, not knowing I’d be out of action for a long time. I got very sick shortly thereafter, and today was the first day I even looked at her. I took my air tank and battery charger to the hangar, expecting low tires and a dead battery. I was surprised to see the tires fully inflated! The battery turned the engine slowly, but plenty fast enough to start the C-85. I warmed the engine up and changed the oil, even though the old oil only had 21 hours on it. So the plane is all ready to go with fresh oil. I was sure there would be a lot work to get her ready to fly but she was ready! Now I’m planning my BFR.
