Excellent and thank you for the offer. Agreed 100% and I have done just that. I may take you up on that. I am keen on WWII era history especially pertaining to the Ercoupe.

I am very cognizant of the copyright and usage from the get-go and have been in contact with Col Frank A. Blazich, Jr. the National National Curator discussing the history of the Ercoupe with Civil Air Patrol the use of WWII era markings on mine for heritage/history purposes only.

Always open for suggestions, info and assistance.

Cheers!

Please be careful using CAP livery - portions of it are copyrighted. Just check (and ask permission). Let me know if I can help (SWR-TX-371 Squadron Commander).

Just a few years late to this post... That'd be a formation worth seeing! Working on restoring mine to WWII Civil Air Patrol livery, there were a few during the war used for coastal and border patrols and for military and industry couriers.

Cheers!

When we had to recover our coupe I figured it was time for a fresh look. I looked up what information I could find on Ercoupes and wrote to the smithsonian and they sent back a packet of information and pictures as I wanted to match as close as I could to one of the original military Ercoupes. Once I get the Coupe back from annual I will get the info and pass it on.

Hello Fellow Coupers,
Having seen a number of coupes with military paint schemes I am interested in talking with other coupers flying coupes(and their variants) painted in military livery. Further details will then be forth coming but, as a hint, what would you think about a coupe squadron including a formation flight course?
Thanks,
Ken
