Electric Fuel Pump Light

Yea, I wish there was an adjustment switch, but alas there is none.
I’m beginning to think Vernon is going to be one of my best buddies soon.

Also you might check on your pressure switch, there should be a screw of sorts that you can adjust, and by Loosening or tightening it changes the amount of PSI required to open/close the pressure switch

It looks like I too will be rewiring the fuel pump circuit. It turn out that the pressure switch never relaxes so the light circuit is always open (light out) and to top that off there is no circuit breaker on either the light or the pump.
Where did you purchase the pressure switch?

I agree with you on the need for some redundancy on the pump/light system.

As Lawson said the light should flicker when you first turn on the pump. I'd check the low pressure switch to make sure it's working. The biggest problem I see with the system as it's wired on my plane is if the CB powering the pump and light pops, the light won't come on when the pump shuts down, leaving just the header tank float as a backup.
