Thanks for the reply and confirmation Matt. I'll price some shops and certainly consider doing it myself. I did not realize the cost for the equipment & small oven will probably be close to having a shop do it!

it is much tougher than paint, and if you want to do them yourself, I have had good luck with the powder coating kit from harbor freight.

Has anyone used powder coating to cover/paint the Alon/Mooney control wheels?
When I purchased my "new to me" control wheels from Vernon Gregory, he recommended it. I have never used powder coating, but it seems like a good idea.
Thanks for any experience or thoughts in general.
