the bleed screw I use is the screw on the disc of the cylinder

I use the standard red mil spec 5606.

Goodyear brakes are difficult to bleed because there is no bleed valve.
McFarland Aviation sells a bleeder valve (p/n MCBB-KT-2 , two required)
that will replace the drain plug on the bottom of each caliper. Works great.
Costs about $40 each but well worth it. I can finally bleed the brakes on my
Ercoupe in the normal, modern way. Hopefully a picture is attached.
