Thanks for everyone's inputs. To clarify, my landing light is mounted in the nose, left of the air filter. I bought a WAT Parmetheus G3 light, P36G3L, landing light for $299 at Aircraft Spruce. This G3 is supposed to be 2.5 times as bright as it's older brother, the Promethus Plus and is about $50 more expensive. It has a tiny voltage draw. I turn it on for every flight to make myself more visible, but I have not yet flown with it at night. I may have been able to save money on Amazon, should have thought of that.

By fuselage landing light, do you mean the type that are in the leading edge of the left wing? Some have the lights on the main gear struts? I will need to replace mine which are the leading edge of the wing type.

Amazon has FAA/PMA for about $40. Search LED aircraft landing lights.

I need to replace the fuselage landing light on my 1946 415C (SN 670).  I'd like to buy an LED version.  Anyone have recommendations?  Any gotchas?
Thanks,
Tim
