I've had the best luck with Exxon Elite 20W50, with a can of Avblend added with each oil change. Nothing sticks. The one time I went back to Phillips X/C with no additive my lifter started sticking. Went back and it's fine. Mine's a C85, but I don't think there is any appreciable difference here. Remember, these small Continentals are prone to sticking valves and lifters.
