Installing the new format quadrant obviates the need for the inspections. Apparently the original quadrant bent the cable too sharply and a new one was designed to fix it. Sorry, I don’t have part numbers.

AD 54-26-02 Fraying of control cable at the top of control column assembly was created by Charlie Quandt
This AD calls for the removal of these cables every 100 hours, so that they can be replaced if not in "perfect" condition. I used a borescope to check mine and discovered some corrosion where they wrap into their attachment point. My question is, 1) should I remove them in place or am I better off pulling the whole control column out for a rebuild?
2) The AD lists 4 approved modifications that if installed, eliminate the 100 hour inspection. Does anyone know what these might entail?
