Float cork is in need of replacement. Two diff tank what is your Coupes Serial number 2623 they changed tank for the header , one of the dif another is the filler neck placement. newer one the neck is more forward.

I have a bunch of pictures, not sure this will let me up load them all in one go, 415C Riveted Header Tank
Alon A2 Welded Tank
On My 415G, the return is a aluminum tube that has a joggle in it so it is higher than the inlet, and it's opening is closer to the filler neck.

I found the drawing for the ternplate tank, if that is what you have. It shows a riser on both the inlet and overflow
