Noise from Belleville Springs

Hello, I have just purchased a Mooney A2-A and I'm having some issues with the right strut. The Belleville springs make a clunk as each one compresses. The strut also does not spring back when compressed by pushing the wing down as the other side does. When you pull up on the wing, each spring clunks as it decompresses. The o-ring has been changed and the springs are only about 30 hours old. The strut has been disassembled and the shaft had some irregularity but not enough to be concerned with.
