I don't know your exact situation so all I can tell you is my experience. I have Whelen Orion LED nav lights with strobes on my M10. They are approved and are a direct replacement for the originals. They are visible during the day, especially if the weather is gray and rainy.
Check on the Whelen web site and see if your aircraft is on the approved list, Ercoupes are listed under Univair, If so, all that is required is a log entry.

Okay, I am sure it has been asked, maybe I didn't search correctly or just didn't see what I am looking for.
I seen one post about the LED Nav lights which I would love to have, as I just had to order a new lens cover for well a small $48 not including shipping.
I have Grimes Nav lights. What if anything can mount there and provide me with LED lights?
