Skyport is Vernon Gregory. Currently Vernon’s wife is in the hospital and Vernon is not taking orders. You can probably take that cap off and reseal it with some sort of fuel proof sealer. Hopefully Vernon will let us know when he’s back on line.

Hi, I’m having the same issue in 2273H. Is the cap still available from Skyport? If yes , where is Skyport?
What else might cause the accumulation of fuel in the sight tube?
Thanks
Colleen

Bubbling fuel in a Rain Pruf gauge is almost always the result of a leaking red cap on top or the gasket between the sight tube and the cap. Both parts can be easily obtained from Skyport. The red caps will crack and you won't even notice it, but the fuel will bubble up. The glass tube is easy to clean and you can easily overhaul the gauge by disassembling, cleaning, then reassembling with a new cap and a new gasket.

I have noticed on a couple of occasions that during longer cross-countries on hot days the fuel in the header tank visual fuel gauge bubbles.
Is the bubbling something I should be concerned about, and, if so, what is the fix?
Thanks.
Don
