Propeller Indexing

I pulled my prop off several months ago to repair the nose bowl as art of rebuild of the plane, and did not mark the direction the propeller came off (dumb me). Is there a certain way it should go back on? I realize that this must be done and checked by A&P, but I am only doing this to start the motor before it all goes for the new wings install and annual.
